  1. Wash and take thinai and moong dal in pressure cooker. - Add water and salt to it.
  2. Pressure cook for 1 whistle and 10 minutes in low flame or 4 whistles whichever is faster. - Once pressure releases open the cooker and mash them.
  3. Now heat ghee and temper with cumin seeds, pepper, hing, ginger, green chilli, cashews and curry leaves.
  4. Add it to pongal and mix it. Check the seasoning and adjust it. - Serve hot Pongal with sambar and chutney.
