- Get Oil for tadka
- Prepare 2 pinch Asafoetida(Hing)
- Take Mustard seed for tadka
- Make ready 1 Red Chilli (cut into half) for tadka
- Get 5-6 Curry Leaves for tadka
Instructions to make Stuffed Dal-Dhokli:
- In a bowl mix all flours and add all spices. (Divide these spices in three portion according to your taste, salt, coriander powder, chilli powder and turmeric powder.)
- In a pot add boiled dal, add jaggery, kokam, salt, turmeric, red chilli powder, green chilli, ginger and coriander powder.
- In another bowl add boiled potatoes add remaining ginger, garlic, and remaining spices. Make a filling. With the help of roller-pin make a small round chapati. Put a spoon full filling and make a dumpling. Make dumplings of all filling.
- From the remaining dough make a big chapati and cut it into small diamond pieces.
- Add these stuffed dhoklis and diamond pieces in boiling Dal.
- In a small frying pan heat oil, add mustard seed,. Once it starts popping add Hing, Curry Leaves and Red Chilli. Add thus tadka in Dal Dhokdi. Your stuffed Dal Dhokdi is ready. Enjoy Meal!
