- Make ready 1/2 cup Besan(gram flour) for pakodi

Curd rice is also known as thayir saddam, dahi chawal and daddojanam. A very simple dish made using the most basic ingredients, curd and rice with an authentic South-Indian tempering does not. Kadhi or karhi is a dish originating from the Indian subcontinent. It consists of a thick gravy based on gram flour, and contains vegetable fritters called pakoras, to which dahi (yogurt).
Instructions to make Kadi and Rice:
- In a mixing bowl take 1/2 cup of Besan Gramfloor add soda & water make a batter like pakoda batter.
- Take a kadai add mustard oil deep frying all pakodi.
- Now remove all oil in the kadhai only 2 tbs oil is left. Take pakodi bowl add curd add 1/4 cup(60ml) + 1tbs Besan add little amount of water mix it without lumps add rest of water.
- Add only coriander powder in besan liquid. Now take kadhai add oil add mehi daana,heeng add haldi & Red chilli powder now add quickly 1/2 cup of water bring to boil.
- Adding Besan curd liquid stir continuously bring to boil after boiling add salt stir.cook for 7-10 min on medium to slow flame bring to thicker. Add pakode and take a boil switch off gass.If You want add garam masala 1/2 tbs. Garnish with fried onions. During navratri I dont want to use onion.
- Stemmed Rice.wash & soaked rice for 1/2 hour Take a Big vessel add water for boiling rice add all dry spices and salt.add rice for boiling. Now strain the boiled rice add gheen mix slightly with the help of folk cover it with the plate.serve hot with kadi enjoy North Indian food.
