  11. Grease a large roasting tin with the extra butter.
  12. Pour mixture into the tin and then place the tin into the coolest part of your oven, Gas mark 4, 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 177 degrees Celsius for 1.5 to 2 hours.
  13. When risen slightly and golden brown take out of the oven and sprinkle with castor sugar whilst still hot.
  14. When cooled, cut into 16 squares. Lovely served warm or cold, stores well in an airtight container.
